Stephen Skidd has earned a reputation as one of Canada's leading experts in corporate communications, media relations, communications training and reputation management.

Stephen's reputation is based on a unique blend of clear strategic thinking and a sleeves rolled-up energy that consistently delivers results. Whether it's getting front page coverage, keeping out of the news, or communicating directly with stakeholders; managers and executives in all sectors seek out Mr. Skidd's counsel and training.

During his 20 years as a public relations professional, Steve has served major organizations in the aerospace, agri-food, financial services, energy, health sciences, manufacturing, resource, technology and telecommunications sectors. He has also counselled federal, provincial and municipal governments, not-for-profit organizations and public interest groups.

Prior to founding Trillium, Steve headed the corporate communications team with Canada's biggest PR agency and, prior to that, he was a leader in the global environment and crisis practice groups with one of the world's largest public affairs firms.

He has planned and implemented international, national, provincial and local public relations programs for improving corporate and product reputations, corporate reorganizations, product launches, and public and private sector funding initiatives.

Mr. Skidd was awarded the Canadian Public Relations Society's National Award of Attainment for his leadership in establishing the Certificate Program in Public Relations at Ryerson Polytechnic University.

Mr. Skidd is a frequent speaker on public and media relations, and serves on the boards of several not-for -profit organizations. He holds an Honours Degree from Carleton University and a Masters Degree from the University of Guelph and is an accredited member of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
